Snowrunner is a trucking simulator. It balances actually driving a truck and delivering cargo with building an entirely new trucking empire from scratch.

This game provides a good switch on the standard trucking simulator game. You move slow, and for speed-inclined players, this can be frustrating. However, if you want to play a simulator game that feels different, this is a great game for you. The real enemy is trying to, very carefully, get your truck through a series of environmental obstacles. These environments interact well with the game's physics engine. You will potentially skid in the snow, splash water everywhere, and more. The environment is every bit as much of a part of the game as you are.

One of the best aspects of the game is its diverse array of maps. You play across the world, with contracts circling the globe. To the game's credit, you never feel as if maps are just copy, pasted, and renamed. It does a great job of creating unique environments for you to explore, navigate, and survive. 

The more you play, the more options you have, unlocking trucks, equipment, upgrades, and more. There are over 40 trucks that you can use as part of this game. 

If you are someone who likes face-paced, action-filled, chase games, this one isn't for you. Indeed, this game requires thought and planning. It forces you to chose what environments to traverse, what risks are worth taking, and if that contract is truly worth pursuing. This is one of the main challenges of the game, and it makes the game well worth exploring.

It is also worth noting that the game comes in multiple modes. You can play by yourself, or with up to three other friends. This allows you to significantly vary your experience.
